Welcome
A warm welcome to Balerno Ramblers.
We are a busy group with walks at weekends and on Wednesdays, We also have social events and trips away to other areas . The Balerno Group covers Balerno, Currie and the surrounding area. Balerno nestles at the foot of the Pentland Hills to the south west of Edinburgh. A group of us work with Friends of the Pentlands helping with tree planting, drainage schemes, path building and repair.
If any of our walks interest you, and you are not on our mailing list, please contact the Walk Leader to find out more anformation and to check that there are no changes to the walk.
Usually most of our walks operate on a ‘just turn up’ (JTU) system but some walks may ask you to book and register a place in advance with the Walk Leader. The walk description will give the leader's contact details. If you want to join a walk at the walk start point please let the Walk Leader know.
We regret that no dogs are allowed on our walks.
